Terms & Conditions
Payment
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required once your booking has been approved. Final payment is required by the time the project is completed and approved. The final files will be delivered via Google Drive once payment has been received. Payment plans available upon request.

If payment is not received within 24 hours of the agreed upon due date with no prior communication, an additional $25 will be charged as a late fee. If project remains unpaid, the designer reserves the right to require full payment up front for future projects or refuse service altogether.
Timeline
Cover Design
Turnaround time from booking date is 2 weeks, excluding any necessary re-drafts.
Novel & Navy Designs offers 1 free re-draft and unlimited revisions from the first cover sent. Any further re-drafts will be subject to a fee. Please allow up to 2 weeks for each draft period.
Post-completion adjustments to the cover, such as blurb edits or trim resizing, will be done free of charge. Please contact the designer if this is necessary for you.
Formatting
Turnaround time from booking date is 2 weeks, excluding any necessary revisions.
Novel & Navy Designs offers 1 free revision period for design changes. Any further revisions will be subject to a $10+ fee, depending on the extent of the revision. Please allow up to 1 week for each revision period.
Minor post-completion adjustments, such as a grammatical changes or spelling errors, must be made within 7 days of receiving the final files. Larger adjustments, such as margin resizing or font changes, will be subject to a fee. This fee is dependent on the extent of the changes. Please contact the designer if this is necessary for you.
Branding & Website Design
Turnaround time from booking date is 1 week, excluding any necessary revisions. Novel & Navy Designs will be in touch every step of the way to ensure branding and website design suits your needs. Novel & Navy Designs also includes 14-day aftercare for any changes/assistance needed for websites.
Attribution
Cover Design
Novel & Navy Designs requires design credit in the form of “Cover Design by Novel & Navy Designs” on the copyright page in eBook and physical copies & also on the back cover of physical copies. In the event of a cover reveal, social media post, or book tour, credit to @novelandnavydesigns on Instagram must be given.
Formatting
Novel & Navy Designs requires design credit in the form of “Formatting by Novel & Navy Designs” on the copyright page in eBook & physical copies. In the event of a format reveal, social media post, or book tour, credit to @novelandnavydesigns on Instagram must be given.
Website Design
Novel & Navy Designs requires design credit in the form of “Website Designed by Novel & Navy Designs” in the footer of your website.
Termination
Either party may reschedule or terminate this agreement at any time for any reason they deem necessary with written notice. The terms of rescheduling and termination are as follows:

Rescheduling
Either Party may reschedule the Project anytime before [24 HOURS BEFORE START DATE] for no additional fee. If the Client reschedules after this time, an additional $10 fee will incur.

Termination
If the Client cancels a project after booking has been approved but before 72 hours prior to booking date, no additional charges will incur. If the Client cancels a project after 72 hours prior to booking date but before start date, an additional $25 fee will incur. If the Client cancels a project after booking date but no drafts or revisions have been sent, Client will be responsible for paying 25% of the remaining cost. If the Client cancels a project after booking date and drafts or revisions have been sent, Client will be responsible for paying 50% of the remaining cost. If the Client cancels a project after project completion, Client will be responsible for paying 100% of the remaining cost.
If the Designer cancels a project after booking date, the client will be reimbursed for their deposit.
Restrictions
The client does not have any rights or permission to modify, alter, replicate, or steal any of the ideas, concepts, or designs that Novel & Navy Designs presents. Furthermore, designs and their concept, including layout, image style, colouring, placement, and fonts are not permitted to be recreated or altered by another person.
All original preparation materials including drafts, sketches, visuals and unused ideas shown and considered will remain the property of Novel & Navy Designs.
Should the client attempt to modify, alter, replicate, or steal any of Novel & Navy Designs' work, legal counsel will be taken.
Confidentiality
Novel & Navy Designs hereby acknowledges she that may be involved in or become aware of information that relates to the client on a personal level including information related to the client’s past, future, present, customer names, marketing plans, project information, and financial documents. Novel & Navy Designs agrees to protect all the above information and keep any information obtained confidential. However, the designer will be permitted to display final work on their website, social media, and in promotional materials.
